Montagne Jeunesse Peel Off Masque

Let me start off by saying, WOW! My skin feels great after using the Juiced Cucumber Peel Off Masque. It was only the trial size that I received in my Holiday Voxbox from Influenster. (Sent through the Influenster Voxbox program to test and review) Even though it was just a trial size it was the perfect amount to cover my whole face. I loved the way my skin felt during and after I peeled it off. My favorite part was peeling it off :D... My skin felt so clean without having the tight feeling and it felt refreshed!! I really want to try the others in this line. I love the fact that it's all natural ingredients so I know that what I'm putting on my face won't harm it with any harsh chemicals.  I plan on trying out the others but since I was able to use just the trial size for my whole face I'll probably just use around the same amount from the full size packet and put the left over into an air tight container and save it for my next use in a few days. That way I won't feel like I'm wasting it. Hope you enjoy this product if you try it and have an enjoyable experience like I did.

The Montagne Jeunesse Peel Off Masque comes in Cucumber, Passion, Tropical, Lemon Zest and Green Tea. The price is more than affordable at only $1.99 for a full size packet. It's Gluten Free, Dairy Free, No Added Parabens and Vegan Friendly :D  You should be able to find this in your local Drug Stores but if you want to find out exactly where you'll be able to get it near you or about other great products they carry, check out their website for more info www.MontagneJeunesse.com.

NYC New York Color

This quick review is for NYC Liquid Lipshine in the color Nude York City. I received this complientary of my Holiday Voxbox from Influenster.

At first glance I thought that this would be really sticky and make it look like I drank some oil or something. But I was shocked (in a good way) to find out that it didn't. It gave me a nice shine that was complimentary than garish. It was moisturizing and didn't dry out my lips or make them feel weird after it wore off. Which by the way took a long while before fading off. Granted I was sipping my water through a straw and only had a food light snacks here and there. The nude color is awesome, Highly recommend it. Great for everyday wear and for putting over top another lip color to change it up for evening wear. So it's pretty versatile. Very happy that I received the Nude one.

They come in 10 shades ranging from Neutrals to Fuchsias and Berry tones. The price range is very affordale starting at just $2.49. Available at Walmart, Target, Kmart and your local Drug stores. For more information on NYC Liquid Lipshine or other products from NYC chck out their website www.newyorkcolor.com.

imPress Press-on Manicure

Just received my imPress Press-on Manicure nails in the mail yesterday, included in my Holiday Voxbox from Influenster. (Influenster sent this to me through the voxbox pogram to test and review)

I got the Lil' Drumr Girl pattern. It's a hot pink with a black zebra stripes design. My first thoughts were, that I loved the pattern and they didn't look too long like some other nail products out there. Then when I tried them on, I was surprisingly pleased that I was able to find sizes for my nails. I usually have 1 or 2 nails that don't have a good fit. I received compliments from many people at the grocery store. And the process was so simple that I let my 5 year old daughter help me with one hand.
Definitely would recommend this to my friends and family who are like me and like the more natral nail look, but don't want to pay a lot of money at the nail shop or to go through the whole process of painting them at home. A great temporary solution for changing up your nails. I would purchase these to try out more patterns and colors.

They come in many colors and patterns. You cac find them at walmart, target and your local drug stores. The price range is very affordable starting at just $5.99 for  solid colors and $7.99 for patterns. For more information on imPress Press-on Manicure and a complete list of retailers go to their website www.imPressManicure.com.

My thoughts on X Out Wash-in treatment

First I'd like to say that I do NOT have this product. Though I DO wish to try it so I will be ordering it soon from the website www.xout.com.  I also wish that I could've received this as a bonus in my Holiday Voxbox from Influenster....unfortunately I didn't. But I digress.

The reason for this blog is that I read some of the information about it on the website. It's a prescription grade acne medicine that digs down deep into pores and it stays behind even after you're done washing to kill bacteria that causes the break-outs on contact. It's got what x out calls the "icy slap", which ultimately means it will have your face feeling icy cool. I mean, I don't know about you but I definitely appreciate the cool tingling feeling on my face from a face wash. You can use x out wash in treatment in 3 ways...as a normal face wash, where you wash your face with it for 2 minutes (according to the site) and wash off. Or you can ue it for spot treatment and just put it on blemishes or pimples over night, wash it off the next morning... You can even use it as a mask and apply it to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes, rinse off when finished. So that really tempts me even more to get it right this instant as  I type this. A bonus for me would be the medication in the product. and the fact that you can use 3 different ways.  So even though it says to use it twice a day for 2 minutes each. I would do maybe once  a day for maybe a minute. Then after 2 weeks I would step it up to the recommended instructions. Because my skin is sensitive so I want to prep it first and get it used to the product.

So all in all, I would definitely purchase X Out Wash-in Acne Treatment! Based on the information from their website www.xout.com, I can say that I would recommend people to give this a try. Next time I will be writing a review on How it works for my skin, if I like it, if it makes a difference...ALL that good stuff.

Simply Smooth Xtend Keratin Reparative Magic Potion Review

Note: This was sent to me to review, complements of Beautystat.com. My review is my own personal opinion, based on what I experienced with this product. Please read to the end to find out about a special giveaway!

First I'll give you the "specs" on the product... You get a 4.25 oz spray bottle of product for $25 and you should be able to find this at salons near you. At first glance, I didn't think it would be enough for my hair length... But I was mistaken. You don't need to use a lot at once for it to work, a little really goes a long way. I've used it on my children's hair as well and it works beautifully.

I received this product a couple of weeks ago and I've used it since the first day. Everytime I washed my hair, which is every 2 days or so depending on if I had my hair straightened or naturally wavy/curly. I followed the directions and pretty much used it as a leave-in conditioner. So I sprayed my hair at the ends after washing my hair then 1 spray onto my hands and spread evenly from the roots down. Gently ran a long toothed comb through and air dried.

I can honestly say my hair, was less frizzy, softer, shinier and it didn't weigh my hair down at all, so I was able to use other products in my hair after. It says on the bottle that it can protect from thermal abuse, so I think it serves as a heat protectant as well. It also says that it'll leave your hair silky and free of split ends.... I can't really say if it really works or not because I had just gotten my hair trimmed before receiving this, so my ends were already healthy. I can say it has helped to keep me from getting split ends. Because before using it I would get split ends from using my flat iron or curling wand, even with a heat protectant. Now with the added use of the Simply Smooth, it's helped keep the split ends at bay and my hair's looking healthier than I can remember.  My children's hair are long, thick and curly. They are also very dry, like their father's. But wen I use the Simply Smooth after they shower, their hair looks shiny, healthy, defined curls and NOT dry and frizzy like before. So I would definitely recommend this product for any and every hair type. And for all ages. It's got a lot of botanical ingredients so I felt safe putting in my children's hair.

Urban Decay 24/7 (glide-on eye pencil) vs. Milani Liquif'eye (metallic eye liner)

Everybody knows about the UD 24/7 glide-ons, they're well known for coming in the UD book of shadows palettes. Or sold in a set usually deluxe or travel sized and there's also the single full size.

I don't know if everybody knows about the Milani Liquif'eye metallic liners. But it's a drug store brand and I feel like it makes a great dupe for some of the UD 24/7 liners.

So, I'm just going to hop right into the pros and cons and then my thoughts on the products and which one I would most likely purchase in the future.

Urban Decay 24/7 liner

PROS

-Wide range of color variety, about 20+ colors

-Does glide-on smoothly, so no tugging on the eyes

-Consistency is soft and creamy for an eye pencil

-Safe for lining your inner rim

-Not tested on animals

-Does stay put after it dries (I like to set with eye shadow, so it won't budge at all)

-Made with a good amount of moisturizing ingredients

CONS

-$17 for a full size pencil 1.2g

-Creamy consistency causes smudging which isn't good unless you're doing a smokey look or something.

-Takes MORE than 30 seconds to dry (unless you just set with eye shadow)

-Though it's safe for the water line, I find that the tiny bits of glitter in some of them irritate my eyes.

-Can only be purchased through the UD website, Sephora stores and website, Ulta stores and website, Macy's store and website or somewhere else on the web i.e. ebay or amazon.

Milani Liquif'eye Metallic liner

PROS

-Very affordable around $5 or so for a full size 1.2g

-Easily attainable at many locations, drug stores like CVS, Rite-Aid, Walgreens, other stores like Wal-mart, Target and Fred Meyer.

-Goes on smoothly with very little effort

-Highly pigmented (the black makes UD zero look brownish black)

-Dries in seconds (sometimes I don't set with a shadow and it's still there hours after 1st applying it)

-Doesn't budge at all

-Usually a BOGO sale at the drug store so you can buy more than one for an even better deal.

-Safe for water line

-Creamy consistency as well but only difference is that it doesn't budge in spite it.

-Great dupes for some of the UD liners, if not better (in my opinion).

CONS

-Only comes in 5 colors (Black, Brown, Aqua, Silver and Gold)

-Taking it off can be a bit of a hassle when it's on your tight line.

-If you have oily lids like me, it'll move a bit. (best to remove oil on lids before applying it on
and setting with shadow)

My Final thoughts

So there are definitely some pros and cons for both. For me personally...I love Urban Decay, but I wouldn't purchase a 24/7 liner in the future unless it's a new color or there's something special about it. I would definitely on the other hand purchase Milani Liquif'eye liners again and again. They're affordable even though they only come in 5 colors. I've already gone through 3 or 4 blacks, 2 aqua and 2 browns. And my UD zero the only full size 24/7 liner I've ever purchased is not even at the half way mark and I got it long before buying my first Milani one. (that says a lot) Don't get me wrong I still use it every once and again. usually for a daytime liner because it's not an intense black like the Milani Liquif'eye in black. Zero is more a brownish-black so it's closer to natural looking in the daytime. Sometimes it'll just be out of reflex where I'll grab my brown liquif'eye liner instead, but it's just out of habit. Which would I recommend hmmmm... for the frugalista such as myself who doesn't mind a wide variety of color, definitely go with the milani liquif'eye liners. For the makeup lovers out there, who love UD and lots of optional colors to choose from check out the 24/7 liners.
Below are pictures of swatches and the liners too.

This pic was taken with a flash and no primer underneath. (from left to right) The top row: UD liners in Lust, Electric and Zero. (took 4-7 swipes)
bottom row: Milani liners in Silver, Brown, Aqua and Black. (took 2 swipes each for that intensity)

This pic was taken in natural light, no flash still no primer. Milani black is a lot more intense than UD zero.
Same as second pic, natural light, no flash. About a minute after I swatched all the colors and took some photos. I ran my finger over all of them... None of the milani liners smeared. 2 of the UD liners did though, Electric and Zero. Lust was ok.
